After the collapse, Neutra reports on the catastrophic situation in Vienna and pleads urgently for information about American architecture. He beseechs Schindler, who was working for Frank Lloyd Wright at the time, not to return to Europe, and asks for details on immigration into the U.S. In 1920, Schindler asks Neutra to send copies of Otto Wagner’s publications, and also sends him the manuscript of Henry Sullivan’s “Kindergarten chats,” to search for a publisher in Berlin, where Neutra has meanwhile begun working with Erich Mendelsohn.

Generally good but there wasn’t any staff available when my luggage didn’t appear at baggage claim in Fresno. It took about half an hour to locate a staff member to open up the locked room where it was being kept. Security was a mess at the Helsinki Airport. But I was delighted by the connecting flight waiting for us for JFK.

Then after passing the staff pull out everything again. Currently, there is only one airline operating non-stop flights from Charlotte CLT to Dublin DUB, which is American Airlines.
The one downside to the experience was they had games on the entertainment console. The guy behind me poked at my head about half the flight. I hope they get rid of this feature. The plane was old and you are required to connect your own device to their Wi-Fi rather than have entertainment options in the back of the seat in front of you. The Wi-Fi went out during the flight and there was only one plug for the devices every two seats.
Seating was very tight and not comfortable. Would rather pay extra to get more leg room. Overall, the flight was not as nice as expected. It’s comparable to flying Spirit Airlines or Frontier airlines in America. Even as a budget airlines, Iberia should at least serve water or light snacks, especially for international legs, no matter how short the flights are.

I was surprised and a little annoyed on my outbound flight from LGW to MCO as I had prepaid and booked my seat, which was all correct at check in on my boarding pass. Three out of five surrounding my family did not work. The seats and spaces under them were so small I could not fit my backpack, which I’ve always brought on flights and fit before no problem. The crew were unpleasant and patronizing. Great flight- smooth, nice crew, nice clean aircraft, departed a little late but arrived 10 early.

I had no legroom, although I paid for extra legroom. I could barely put my bag in front of my feet and under the seat. In fact the flight attendant said that they had to reboot it and see if it was going to work and never did.
The only problem was there are games on the entertaiment system. The guy behind me played poker the entire time and poking the back of my seat. Plane was good but was delayed. Probably not AA fault but caused a 1 hour delay.
So, no movies, no games, no music… for 9 hours. The crew just told us that there’s nothing they can do but I noticed during the flight that there were empty seats, so they could have offered to us to change seats. Customer service could be better. I liked the piloting of the aircraft.

I did not have enough time to go to the desk before boarding so I went to the desk and told them while I was boarding and they had a boarding pass for me within three minutes.
Had we been told that the total time would have been aprox 45 min later we would have left to get food and a beverage. We had to wait again for the okay to the pilot to take off so we were on the runway for another 20 min. Overall, we were delayed over 2 hours which felt like 4 hours. Flight ok, but me and other two passengers didn’t have connection with the entertainment in our seats.
I loved how they arrange boarding (starting with people seated in back and moving to the front). Flight crew was very polite and welcoming. Seating was ok, I felt like there was enough leg space however it is noticeable when the passenger in front of you sets their seat back. I would fly again the whole experience was great. The only feed back I can give that they don't do that American Airlines does is the crew there is more humorous with boarding and thank their passengers.
Also it took 2 hours to get our bags after our flight which was wild. My wife and I paid for seat selection to be together. My wife and I were on separate rows and the excuse they gave was they changed the plane. Also, I have celiac and asked for a gluten free meal in the ticket profile which they did not have. Bad experience with the staff boarding the gate.

Duke Energy said the estimated restoration time in these areas is 5 p.m. At the height of the storm Tuesday afternoon, there were more than 76,000 customers in the Charlotte area without power and around 120,000 throughout the state. As the new girl on the block, Esperanza observes many of life's most joyous and harsh realities while meeting her Mango Street neighbors. Her first friend, Cathy, is a short-lived friendship because Cathy's father soon moves the family away because the neighborhood is getting bad, or in other words becoming more inhabited by lower-class Latinos like Esperanza's family. Two other young sisters, however, adopt Esperanza into their circle when she chips in money to help them buy a bicycle. Lucy and Rachel help Esperanza ponder the wonders of growing up by inventing rhymes about hips and parading around Mango Street in high-heeled shoes.

Main St., was built in 1858 as Lodge 42 of the Free and Accepted Masons. The building was a painted brick structure with a symbolic "Masonic eye" below the parapet. As the novel progresses, Esperanza starts to notice her budding sexuality. She is excited when boys on the street or at a dance look at her; however, two instances of sexual violence destroy Esperanza's illusions of true love and her first kiss.

The games Esperanza plays with her friends have afluid quality, as they quickly become bored. They might begin by talking aboutthe different words for snow and clouds, and end by calling each other names.As they jump rope, the girls talk about the development of their hips and makeup rhymes on the subject. One day, a woman gives them a bag of old shoes, andthey practice being adults, walking on high heels, but soon grow tired of thisactivity. The novel is made up of a series of vignettes that capture Esperanza'sobservations and experiences, reflecting on themes of identity, gender roles,and the power of words. Esperanza's desire to escape her impoverished communityand the aspiration for a home she can call her own are central motifs,emblematic of her search for identity and a sense of belonging.

It's something that everyone should be able to enjoy, even those people who don't have much experience with reading literature because they're young or because they are busy working for a living. But just because her writing is easy to understand doesn't mean that it's boring or simplistic – pick up The House on Mango Street and you'll notice that each sentence is carefully crafted to evoke emotion, beauty, or even just the pleasure of sound. (Oh, did we mention that Sandra Cisneros is also a poet?)The other quality that makes this book so appealing is its pervading sense of optimism.
